Ron is currently employed with Pinnacle Financial Partners, Nashville, Tennessee. Ron joined Pinnacle in January of 2006 as Senior Vice President & Manager of Client Services Group for Rutherford & Bedford Counties. Ron has enjoyed a long career in banking that started in 1979. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Ron was the retail banking executive for Regions Bank, overseeing 64 locations. Prior to that he spent 14 years at First American National Bank, where he served has the regional executive for community banking. He had responsibility for Rutherford County operations at each of these two banks.

Carter attends St. John Anglican Church in Franklin, TN. For several years he served as an elder at Covenant Presbyterian Church and served on the World Missions and Leadership & Development Committees. Carter previously served on the board and chaired the budget committee for the Nashville Office of Bethany Christian Services, Inc. He has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, YMCA, United Way, American Heart Association and Special Olympics.

Ron earned his bachelor’s degree from Covenant College in 1980 and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 1988. He has completed courses in commercial lending and advanced commercial lending at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Carter also holds an insurance license with the State of Tennessee.

Ron is married to Rebecca Warren Carter. They have been married for over 40 years. Becky and Ron have (5) children and several grandchildren.
