Board Member

Tom retired from Welch College in 2012 after serving 40 years, first on staff before concluding with 25 years as Vice President for Financial Affairs. He has served 20+ years on both the Nashville Rescue Mission board and Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tennessee’s state board. Higher education includes degrees from Welch College and Belmont University, with concentrations in business.

He is a long-time member and deacon of Cofer’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where he and his wife Sheila began attending while dating in college. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary and have three married children.

Tom and Sheila are starting their 9th year in a local public elementary school’s Good News Club (GNC) where Sheila serves as director.  Their GNC team has been blessed to lead over 40 students to Christ…some now faithfully attending their church, along with parents and siblings.
